Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Wolf. You would think that would be obvious but whatever haha

Author’s note: Okay so this will eventually be about Brett Talbot and my oc Diana, but I figured you needed more information on Diana and how she fits into the pack. I don’t think anyone’s taken this route (as in she’s not a werewolf or werecoyete or were anything for that matter or even a hunter.) She’s something else and it’s something Scott needs since I’ve noticed he still hasn’t gotten one yet and we are going on season 5b. I promise to make this entertaining and yes I’m using dialogue from the show. If you don’t like it, you can leave now.

Author’s Note 2: So this will start in season 1, only to give Diana foundation before launching her into season three where I plan to introduce Brett. Weird. Yep but I think starting their relationship in season 4 is too late. Who wants to start a relationship during a dead pool?

I think that’s all you need to know before hand so let’s get started, shall we?

For She Ran With Wolves
Prologue: Two Joggers Found a Body in the Woods
Season 1

“How much further are we going, Diana?” Her best friend, Isaac panted as he ran next to her in the woods. “ I don’t mind running, but I just want to know if we’re training for a marathon.”

Isaac and Diana had been as thick as thieves ever since they bonded on a field trip in the fourth grade. They would even go as far as calling each other ‘other half’. Isaac was of average height and build with wavy, dark brown hair. He had the most soulful blue eyes she had ever seen.  Isaac was quiet. Sometimes too quiet for Diana’s taste. She guessed he did it so he didn’t draw unnecessary attention to himself. Because if that happened, someone would actually start to notice something was wrong with him. She tried multiple times to convince to let an adult know about the beatings he was getting from his father, but he would always tell her to drop it. Eventually she did just that, yet she never stopped nursing his cuts and bruises. Out of the two of them, Isaac was definitely the more studious one. He spent hours studying and always finished his homework early.

Diana glanced over at her friend and smiled. “Let’s just get to that tree up ahead,” She pointed to the one in question.  “And we’ll take a short break before heading back.”

Diana was rather tall for a female. Not super tall, just a few inches taller then the average. She had shoulder length brown curls, sun-kissed skin and hazel eyes. Where Isaac liked to shy away from attention, she basked in it. Played the solos in band as first French horn. She even played in the pep band every lacrosse season to cheer on Isaac, even though he just warmed the bench.  One day she was sure he would make first line. He just needed to gain more confidence in himself. Then when it came to academics, she was an A student even though she was probably the biggest procrastinator to have ever walked the planet. She never studied and her homework was always saved until the last possible moment. Her recall was excellent, so she only needed to write her notes in class then just give them a glance before the test. She was the kid, all the other ones hated during class time since she was usually reading whatever novel she fancied that day and the teachers never yelled at, due to her high test scores.

“Fine. The first one there has to spring for dinner.” He smirked. They both gave a nod before sprinting as fast as they could. Isaac was almost to the tree with Diana close on his heels when she tripped. She landed hard, causing Isaac to come to a grinding halt before rushing to her side.

“Oh my god, Diana.” He laughed, holding out his hand. “Were you performing a random gravity check?”

Diana grabbed ahold of his hand and pulled herself to her feet. “No, something tripped me.” A shiver went down her spine as she felt a strong wave of deja vu hit her. But that couldn’t be right. She began looking around just to prove that what was happening wasn’t at all like her dream. Regrettably, that didn’t happen since she ended up finding exactly what tripped her. There was something long and ghastly white poking out of a pile of dead leaves. Isaac catching on to her line of sight, walked over to get a closer look. Diana stayed still. There was a weird smell in the air. It smelled of decay. Taking tentative steps forward, she crouched down brushing a few leaves away with Isaac hovering over her.

“Oh my God!” Isaac exclaimed, falling backwards on to his butt. Diana was rooted into place from sheer shock. She dreamed about this exact event two nights ago. Dreams were just supposed to be dreams. At least that’s what she had always been told. Clearly she had been told wrong as she stared at the body that someone had buried beneath the leaves. The sick thing was, it was only the bottom half of a body. Tanned fingers shakily took the phone out of the strap on her arm and managed to dial 911 as her head spun.

“H-hello? I would like to report a murder . . . Y-yes that’s what I said. My friend and I just found the body in the woods near the Hale house. But there’s only half a body here . . .Yes only half . . .Okay. Thanks.” Diana slipped her phone back into the strap on her arm before helping Isaac to his feet. He looked like he was about to throw up and she couldn’t blame him if he did. She kind of felt nausea too now that she thought about it.

“Let’s go sit by that tree, Isaac. The Sheriff will be here soon.”

Isaac nodded and walked unsteadily next to his best friend. His legs felt like limp noodles while his stomach churned dangerously. He ran a hand through his hair, taking deep breaths as he plopped down next to Diana. He was not going to throw up. Wondering how Diana was fairing, he looked over at her. Her knees were drawn to her chest with arms wound tightly around them as she looked up through the canopy of trees at setting sun. For a girl who just tripped over a dead body, she looked fine. Where Isaac couldn’t even stop the shaking in his hands. Isaac needed a distraction.

“Have any more dreams about number twenty-eight?”

Diana gave him a curious look. “That’s an odd question to ask at a time like this.”

“I need to get my mind of the dead body so what better to distract myself then with your dreams.”

“I did have another dream about him.” She smiled. “Its weird. I kinda feel like I know him.”

“ Did you meet him at a lacrosse game last year? Maybe that’s way you’re dreaming about him.”

Her curls swirled around her as she shook her head. “I’m sure I’ve never met him before. I’m dreaming about a guy I’ve never met from a school I’ve never been to. I keep dreaming about him fighting alongside of me as we take on supernatural creatures. Which now that I saw it aloud, does sound like a crazy dream that I would have. But when we’re together in the dream it feels so real.”

Isaac smirked. “Maybe you’re reading too many romance novels and your mind is making up your own tale.” She gave Isaac a small smile, hoping that he was right and that was all it.  In the distance she could hear the sirens coming closer. The Sheriff would be here soon. She leaned into Isaac, keeping her doubts to herself.  She’s been having dreams about him as well. In those dreams he had bright yellow eyes, dangerous looking canines and lethal claws. Diana had a feeling their whole world was about to change forever. If it was for the better or worse was yet to be seen.

Diana didn’t know it at the time, but stumbling upon half of Laura Hale’s body that day was a spark. That spark would slowly grow in to a wildfire that would burn away her once boring world of black and white into vibrant, living color. She would steadily be pulled into the supernatural craziness thanks to her dreams. Actually they weren’t really dreams. They were visions of the future. Hmm well visions of the possible future. The future was always in a state of flux so she never knew if what she saw would come to pass. So Diana decided to keep her visions to herself. They hadn’t shown her of anyone being in danger so far. Why let anyone know she was turning into a freak, if she didn’t have to?
Ever since I first saw Brett on Teen Wolf, I knew I had to write a fanfic for him. I really wanted to write a short one but it was proving difficult. I wanted a backstory for Diana so she wasn't just dropped into the chaos that is Teen Wolf. So there will be some slight Diana x Derek because Derek is hot as crap but only little bit. Because it was be mostly Brett and Diana. If you can stay with me until then I would be most grateful.Huggle!
